CONSERVATION : EDUCATION

As a conservation development, one of the primary goals at Palmetto Bluff is to protect our natural environment through education. To do this, the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy offers nature and wildlife programs to help each resident learn about and enjoy their Lowcountry home. As a property owner, you might take a wildlife educational class such as the Habitat Review Workshop to learn about the many wild species living at Palmetto Bluff. Learn about our variety of habitats, from swamps to fields, and their importance for wildlife and people. Become a backyard naturalist learning everything from native gardening, to medicinal uses of local fauna. Get out on the water to learn about our dynamic coastal ecosystem or become a River Steward to help protect our waterways. Learn environmental stewardship and sustainable design for the home. Participate in astronomy, archeology, history and cultural workshops. Whether through birdwatching, hiking, or just sitting on your front porch, our vision is to bring the outdoors into your life through expert education and experience.
