NEIGHBORHOODS : COUNTRY NEIGHBORHOODS

Headwaters

the upper reaches of the May River. These are among the most dramatic

the mainland on the far shore. Compounds start at $3.25 million for
26 acres.

in Palmetto Bluff. Historically the source of cotton shipping
on the May River, the property offers spectacular water views, both
of the river and inland fresh water trail. Homesites range from 1/2
acre to over 5 acres. Of equal interest, Barge Landing stands
at the Trail Head to the new River Road Preserve with direct access
to the spectacular trail system within this 120-acre park, held in
perpetuity by a conservation easement with the North American Land
Trust. Available homesites start at $305,000.

Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, May River Forest features 240 homesites,
ranging in size from one to eight acres and offering a variety of spectacular
views. Some properties overlook the golf course while others
gaze out across the May River. The Maritime Forest, trail system, salt
marshes and inland lakes are all part of the dramatic landscape. May
River Forest homes connect to Wilson
Village and other neighborhoods both by road and by trail. Pricing
for homesites start at $299,000 for golf views and homes start at $1,150,000.

and pastures, and some will border the protected Managed Forest. The

spaces and the legacy value of family compounds. Horse farm properties
