NEWS: WHAT’S NEW
THE WEST FRASER EXPERIENCE

Having received national recognition for his ability to capture the sense of place and light, Fraser richly paints atmospheric vistas of national and international cities, coasts and the landscape throughout the United States and internationally – from the pristine Sea Islands of South Carolina and Georgia, to the hill towns of Tuscany.
Fraser will transform one of Palmetto Bluff’s exquisite Village Homes, into a temporary gallery to showcase his amazing talent. Helena Fox owner and proprietor of Helena Fox Fine Art will be on hand to answer questions about the artwork, or facilitate discussions with the artist.
The exhibit will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day.
Plein Aire Workshop with West Fraser
Fraser will also offer an in-depth plein-aire workshop over the weekend. He will lead discussions on composition and the principles of design, as well as color theory, and painting atmosphere and light. Fraser will share his philosophy of purpose and intent, as well as discuss the elemental and complex principles, theories and ideas so important to the creation of fine art.
Participants will have the opportunity to paint under Fraser’s observance and guidance. Individual input will be provided, followed by a critique of the group’s work. Participants are encouraged to bring one painting that can be critiqued.
Among the various activities planned, participants will be able to observe Fraser as he paints on location, ask questions throughout and about his process, and gain new insight into their own craft.
The cost to participate is $200 per person and space is limited. Call Patty Kennedy at 843.706.6454, extension 3 for details.
